Traditional marketing needs a push into the world of digital marketing, and I aim to continue to be at the forefront. In the increasingly digital world we live in, brands need to embrace their online and mobile presence to keep up with the game. Consumers are spending more time online, and more time on mobile devices, and we’ve seen a plethora of advertisers take on the digital challenge in unique ways.
Although we’ve seen a crack into the digital marketing world, there is so much that can still be done. Social media has changed the way we view and interact with the world, brands, and each other. Twitter has transformed the concept of breaking news; sites like Instagram, Tumblr, WordPress, and Posterous allow you to share stories, blogs, photos, and videos with the world. Flipboard and Pulse take the concept of a digital magazine to the iPad, giving you an interactive, fluid experience with social media and traditional news outlets.
Social media programs are a natural extension of any brand’s marketing campaign. It is no longer “experiential” to add social media to an existing marketing strategy; its imperative for any brand to stay current and stay ahead of trends.
