Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference was yesterday and full of refreshes for Mac and iOS. In summary, the new OS X Mavericks, faster Macbook Airs, a new Mac Pro, iTunes Radio, and iOS is getting a total makeover. iOS 7 is flat (as predicted) but has tons of improvements that are sorely needed. Some of the features I’m most looking forward to are notification sync across devices, photo organization, and the new multitasking functionality.
Google Buys Waze [TechCrunch]:
The rumor mill has been going for days now but now it looks like its official – Google is buying everyone’s favorite map app Waze, reportedly for $1B. Waze’s Israel team will continue operations there, while the few employees in the U.S. will probably move over to Google’ Mountain View campus.
Yelp revamps location with Nearby [TNW]:
Yelp’s iOS app update this week includes a refreshed Nearby, providing suggestions based on location, prior check-ins, time of day, weather, etc. This sounds a lot like Foursquare’s Explore feature, but

Google launched a new dashboard for businesses, allowing them to manage business info from one central place, making it easier to manage their online presence from one place. Businesses can also manage their Google Offers and Adwords accounts from the dashboard.
